Martin Sprocket & Gear was founded in 1951 by Joe Martin Sr. Over the decades, Martin has expanded through machining, fabrication, forging, casting, powdered metal technology and machined & injection molded plastic of power transmission components, material handling products and industrial hand tools. Martin has grown to include manufacturing and sales facilities strategically located worldwide.
Martin Sprocket & Gear is a leading manufacturer of power transmission components, material handling products, industrial hand tools and heavy duty conveyor pulleys. It is a family owned, privately held company founded in 1951. The corporate office is located in Arlington, Texas, with 31 other North American facilities. Martin has strategically positioned itself around the country to serve the needs of customers as efficiently as possible. A large portion of the business comes from MTO (made-to-order) products and altered parts — Martin alters parts faster than others can provide stock.
Martin's philosophy of providing quality products, exceptional inventories and service "second to none" has proved to be a successful and innovative combination, growing it into a world-class leader in the industrial marketplace. Every Martin plant in North America has complete inventories of the entire product line, and every plant has the ability to manufacture or custom alter parts with complete machining — with people on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
